Dear Breakfast Clubbers,
Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. I just sent out over 1000 letters snail mail and this Microsoft Word used a type style that confused a j with an i, so dorergj@aol.com looked like dorergi@aol. A few folks figured it out but I’m sure many gave up convinced of the senility of the sender errrr me. Our response was far less than anticipated. Oh well, maybe it is time to bite the bullet and act like a completely youthfully challenged person of lesser worth. Right now I’d like to use my profanity but will just uttered it under my breath.
We are in the middle of move mode. We can move into the walkout basement now. Painters start repainting the living area June 1. I will try to get mover guys early next week to move the art materials and equipment and paintings and giclees and other stuff. I do have knowledge that we can keep the 734 475 4300 number but they now tell me the 800 # will be lost. We will have high speed internet for the first time ever so I will no longer delete all of your jokes with pictures taking more time to bring up than Gil can tolerate. I never told you before that I do that automatically. Also I never told you that I utter many politically incorrect comments under my breath. Some comments with smiles included and some without. Oh well, that’s life.
Yes, life is very stressful at this time. Everything must fall into place like dominoes. We finally closed on selling our house May 20. May 21 bought the new condo at 107 Willow, in Chelsea 48118. We are so happy we decided to stay here in the capital of happiness in the state of Michigan. Movers will be moving us at least by June 10. Many packing helpers have helped us a great deal. Miki and Phyllis Hiraga spent two days this week and did a major job packing boxes. Jane Carey, Arlene Riba, Anna Eusades, Karen Neal, and our special dear friend Dave Busfield who without his help would leave us in great trouble all helped and many will continue to help until it all happens.
Saturday June 13 will be the estate sale of all the stuff left at our house. We’ll include giclees and some originals to be available for sale and some art materials and equipment. Also some of our collection of work by others artists will be available. The estate sale will be here at 736 S. Freer, Chelsea, Mi. 48118. If you need directions just call me. 734 475 4300 or the cell # 734 649 0478.
Jan is handling all the confusion and moving well so far. As long as we bring her kitty, Evie, she’ll do well. I think I better get to getting other stuff done. Stay kind to others if at all possible and I’ll try to do the same.
Love gil
